gudia is part of who I am

A Childhood Stitched with Love

It is not just a business. Growing up in a family that does lingerie business, the factory was always part of my world. The hum of sewing machines and stacks of colorful fabrics were ever-present, but what stayed with me most was watching my parents pour their passion into creating lingerie that truly cared for women.

Left Home to Find Myself

As much as I admired their dedication, I wanted something different for myself. I craved independence and new experiences, so I moved to the Netherlands to study and eventually built a career in supply chain management. Life in the corporate world was exciting and full of learning, but deep down, I often felt something was missing.

Reconnecting with My Roots

It wasn’t until after COVID had eased that I visited home again. Helping out at the factory during the busy season, I reconnected with the work my parents had been doing for decades. Touching the fabrics and seeing the care that went into every product brought back memories of my mom teaching me about self-care and the importance of wearing lingerie that truly supports you—products designed for women, not just to fit an image of “sexy.”

The Birth of Gudia

That moment changed everything for me. I realized how deeply rooted this passion for creating meaningful, high-quality products was in me. It wasn’t just a business; it was part of who I was. I returned to Amsterdam with a new sense of purpose and started Gudia, combining my family’s expertise with my vision for the future.

A Mission for Women’s Freedom

For me, Gudia is more than a brand. It’s about helping women feel free—free from discomfort, from societal expectations, and from the idea that lingerie should cater to anyone but themselves. Every piece we design prioritizes comfort, quality, and the needs of real women.
